Why 'quagga'?
We're often asked about the name of our company, "Why quagga?" and "What's a quagga anyway?"
The quagga is a unique and beautiful creature, related to the zebra, that once lived on the African plain.
For us it symbolizes the "one-of-a-kind-ness" that Quagga represents, along with the standards we strive to uphold (fine craftsmanship,attention to detail and making beautiful things that last), standards that are unfortunately becoming increasingly rare in the big-box-store world we live in.
They may be rare, but those high standards are alive and kicking at Quagga Designs.
